A letter writing / care package campaign has begun for our service men and women around the globe. Often there are servicemen/women who recieve little or no mail/packages at all. Currently, the foundation is concentrating their efforts for sailors aboard the following vessels, currently in the area of Yugoslavia. U.S.S. Carl Vinson U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt We are asking that you take time out of your busy day to brighten the day of a sailor. To let them know that their duty is not unsung, that we do infact care and support their efforts. These letters/notes do not have to be terribly long, just thoughtful and caring. You have no idea how much it will mean to those who toil each day with little or no reward. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

In addition to notes and letters, care packages are ALWAYS appreciated. Contents include but are in no way limited to the following sewing kit supplies special coffees music taped TV shows games special teas cookies newspapers magazines recorded letters pictures fudge jokes brownies puzzles etc.... If you would like to send such a care package, the foundation would be more than glad to pack and ship it for you. Please note however, that due to the current situation in Yugoslavia and other points, packages cannot be quaranteed to arrive in a timely fashion. However, a written receipt will be sent to you, noting the date of departure from our location, contents, and area of intended delivery, for your records. It is up to the individual who recieves any such items (including notes and letters) to respond, and once again due to the current crisis' around the world, this may not always happen right away.
